In addition to the Chawarma and the Fataaya there are plenty of small stands that sell bread filled with some mixture of meat, onion, and egg.
This lady was selling half-baguette-sized sandwiches stuffed with skewered and grilled beef, hard-boiled egg, onion sauce, hot sauce, and mayonnaise.
Nearly everyone of these minimalist food stands looks the same, with a stack of eggs, a bottle of hot sauce and a selection of mysterious, covered tin bowls, but you never know will be thrown together.
